Yanick Malone and Dana Durand met in 2007 when both were working in a luxury hotel spa in Washington DC. They immediately bonded over their love for bodywork and acquiring new techniques. Over the years they attended several certification programs together, adding new and different skills to their sessions. Both went on to open their own successful private practices, Yanick operating out of Lake Ridge, Virginia Daly Massage Studio and Dana in Rockville, Maryland Dana Durand Massage Therapy. Passionate about sharing their collective knowledge, they founded Healing Touch Studies, where they have been educating other therapists since 2015. Both are licensed, board certified, and certified professional coaches.
About Yanick Malone
Yanick Malone is a Licensed and Board Certified Massage Therapist with over fifteen years of practicing experience. She has been in the luxury hotel spa industry for over twelve years. Yanick’s time teaching ‘Intro to Therapeutic Massage’ at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. only enhanced her love for educating. She is the owner/operator of DALY massage studio in Lake Ridge, Virginia. During her career she has studied extensively obtaining certifications in Medical Massage Therapy, Certified Holistic Nutritionists, Deep Tissue, Advanced Prenatal and Postnatal Massage, John Barnes Myofascial Release, and various Hot Stone techniques, including LaStone Massage taught by the founder Mary Nelson. She is a focused and knowledgeable educator with a nurturing personality who imparts the highest standards in her workshops. Yanick is licensed in the state of Virginia and Washington DC. She is a Certified member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and a Certified Professional Coach.
About Dana Durand
Dana Durand LMT, BCTMB, is a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage in the Professional Medical Massage Program. In her 16 years of practicing experience she has worked with some of the top fitness and medical facilities in the Washington, D.C. region, and has continued to expand her expertise by obtaining certifications in Deep Tissue Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Young Living Raindrop Therapy, Reiki, Chakra Balancing, Prenatal, Fertility Massage, and Canine and Equine Sports Massage. Dana also attended The National Institute of Personal Training, obtaining degrees in both Personal Training and Nutritional Consulting. It was her diligent study of the functions and systems of the human body that inspired her to become an educator and found Healing Touch Studies, where she now helps other therapists realize their educational and professional goals. Dana is a patient and passionate educator who tailors her courses to fit all levels and learning styles. Dana is licensed in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is also Board Certified and an active member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and a Certified Professional Coach.
